Milk jug lid repeatedly popping on its own

So I posted a longer video yesterday showing I wasn't manipulating it in any way. This I recorded first and you can see and hear it popping louder and faster as it gradually slows to the pace in the beginning of the last video. Strange, kinda creepy in the middle of the night. So what do you think causes this?
