US Fortifies Own Capital, Lectures World Over Protests

Thousands of armed troops remain in Washington D.C. following protests earlier this year. Security barriers topped with razor wire are also being used to protect the US Capitol building from potential protests.

All of this takes place in the US while the US itself lectures nations around the globe on their handling of protests - many of which are funded and backed by the US government - including condemnation of the use of barriers, riot police, and other forms of non-lethal crowd control methods.
