Troopers Nab Wrong Way Driver Going 100 Mph On I 75

A predawn weekend drama on I-75 concluded with a dangerous driver in handcuffs, instead of ending with smashed metal and ambulances.

Around 4 a.m. Saturday, state troopers chased and pulled over a motorist speeding south on the freeway's northbound side from Grange Hall Road in Ortonville to Dixie Highway in Clarkston. The northern Oakland County pursuit reached 100 mph.

"Lodged" is a police euphemism for jailed to await arraignment in court by Monday.
