Kids Can't Read: How Lockdowns DESTROYED the Next Generation | The Chad Prather Show

A study shows that, “For kindergarten students nationwide, the percentage of students at highest risk for not learning to read rose 8 percent during the pandemic, from 29 percent in the middle of the 2019-20 school year to 37 percent in the middle of the 2021-22 school year.” Now, as you might imagine, this effect trickles upward. It’s the gift that keeps on giving, you might say. And it prompts me to repeat the question I just asked a minute ago: Literacy, who needs it? If you want my cynical take, it is far too late to shame the public education system into a course correction.
