I explain why child support should end, why child support should not exist in the vast majority of cases. The child support system is not fair, and it ruins thousands of lives every year. The number one reason that is it not fair is because the fathers were usually not given the right to share equally in the child's upbringing. The vast majority of fathers are stuck with "visitation" of their own children! If the fathers shared equal custody of their children, then the mothers would not need child support in the first place. The mother would pay for the child's needs when the child is with her; the father would pay for the child's needs when the child is with him; and they would split any large expense related to the child, like braces or medical insurance. Fathers are almost never given the opportunity to parent their children like the mothers. Child support is just a tool to cover up the fact that fathers usually get treated extremely unfairly in physical custody awards.
