If you are like me, then you like to compare current events to historical events in order to try and better understand them. I have heard a lot of people comparing what is happening in the country to Nazi Germany back in the 20s and 30s, or to communist revolutions around the world. People talk a lot about preventing them from taking power, but what if we are already well past that point?

I think we are well past the point of brown shirts marching through the streets, or mobs of young people tearing down signs and statues. The Nazis have already taken control of the government, and we are now witnessing their expansion of power/control.

I just learned that the capitol police now have field offices in California and Florida. Why does a police department responsible for policing the capitol complex need offices on either end of the continent? Clearly the people in power have bigger plans for them.
