Though the exterior looks vastly futuristic compared to the final generation Viper, Guillaume claims older models were his design inspiration. For instance, design elements such as the crossed grille and the bonnet air intake from the ’96 Viper GTS can be found here but vastly widened and modernised.

The side profile sees a significant amount of straight lines, portraying dynamism, which he says to have adopted from the third-gen Viper. He even considers the ducktail rear as a prominent element of the Viper which is why its been retained. However, to add a modern flavour to it, the floating lightbar makes an appearance. In contrast, bits of classic design theme have been kept intact, thanks to the dual exhausts that are now integrate into the diffuser.

The cabin receives a glass hull to cover it while the wheel design feels lifted from a modern design boutique. The headlights, though, gets a new signature LED pattern, influenced by the fangs or the snake teeth as seen on the Viper logo.

While Stellantis (parent company of PSA and FCA) has no plans of resurrecting the iconic sports car, this graphic attempt could do the trick of enticing the management. And even if they don’t go ahead with a design as striking as this, the idea of a hybrid Viper sounds attractive. More now than ever, considering the extensive list of crossovers scheduled to be released. Do we create a petition for a hybrid Viper?
