Sunday Longplay - SMZ3 Randomizer v11.3 - Attack of the Inklings!

This week on Sunday Longplay, a new update to the Super Metroid/A Link To The Past (SMZ3) combo randomizer has arrived this month, so I thought I'd celebrate my birthday a day early and show it off since these are two of my favorite games of all time! The new update includes a slew of new sprites for both Super Metroid and ALTTP, the option for quick-swapping weapons in ALTTP with L and R (like in the standalone ALTTP Randomizer), and a few new options including:

1. New goals for ALTTP: Defeat Ganon, Fast Ganon (Ganon's Tower not required), or All Dungeons (this includes beating all of the Super Metroid bosses as well). The goal for Super Metroid remains the same in all cases, kill Mother Brain.

2. Number of crystals needed to make Ganon vulnerable and to open Ganon's Tower. In prior versions, the number for both was always 7.

3. Number of Super Metroid boss tokens needed to open Tourian.

The prize you get for killing a boss in either game has now also been randomized across both games. So you might get the Green Pendant from killing Ridley, or Phantoon's boss token from killing Moldorm.

For this seed I'm playing with the Inkling sprites for both games in preparation for the upcoming launch of Splatoon 3 this September, on a normal Ganon seed with both crystal settings and the Tourian setting set to Random. This equated to 2 crystals to kill Ganon, 6 crystals to open Ganon's Tower (required to access Ganon), and 3 SM boss tokens to open Tourian. No Keysanity this time.
