HERD IMMUNITY IN APRIL? - Johns Hopkins professor Dr Marty Makary has made a bold claim: 'We'll have herd immunity by April'. The CDC estimates that some 83.1 million Americans have had the virus. With a population of 331 million, that estimate would suggest that a quarter of the US population has been infected and immunity to COVD-19. Combined with the 12.6 percent of the US that's been infected, that would bring the total share of Americans with COVID-19 immunity to 37.6 percent. 'In large part because natural immunity from prior infection is far more common than can be measured by testing. 'Applying a time-weighted case capture average of One in 6.5 to the cumulative 28 million confirmed cases would mean about 55 percent of Americans have natural immunity.'
