A true poet, not just a songwriter. And that voice -- going from gorgeous contralto to almost soprano, and her vibratos! Such emotion and such lyrical construction, Joni may be the greatest folk song artist of all time, seriously. And with "Both Sides Now," she gives us some comfort, even though we may not "know life at all."
