Does using a mini red dot sight on a handgun help? Today we test out that theory in part 1 of this mini-series by shooting a Dot Torture drill with my FN 509 Tactical with both iron sights, and my Holosun 507c V1. The advantages of an MRDS are often touted, or shouted down, so we will be taking a look at the merits, if any, and potential disadvantages. The next installment will be focused on speed and accuracy from concealment and at distance using the same FN 509 Tactical used here.
