#107 Do Circumstances Define How Your Life Turns Out???

In this episode I have invited one of my fellow Toastmasters to join me on the show to share a comeback story with you. The first time I heard David's story was in his icebreaker speech at one of our meetings and one of his first assignments as a Toastmaster.

David's story was so compelling to me because it told a story that was similar to my own. A young man making bad decisions that have consequences. Some of the choices led to jail and some of them led to homelessness.

Ultimately there was a point in his life when the circumstances didn't direct his choices. His choices started directing his outcomes which led to who he is today. A successful real estate investor, a licensed CA real estate agent, a husband, and a father.

Here is a short bio:
*
My story is one of many that you hear so well. I was first arrested at 13, went to jail at age 15. I dropped out of high school, started running the streets, and was a teenage father. I always thought that was the only life for me. Bottom of the barrel. A few years ago things started to change when I made the decision to change. I am now a real estate entrepreneur who invests in emerging markets across the country. I am a licensed CA realtor and started investing in real estate in 2016 by renovating properties and reselling them for a profit. I would like to tell my story to let people know that any dream is possible. You have to believe and accept it with full conviction. Whatever the mind can conceive it can achieve.
