After the release of Pope Francis' Motu Proprio, Traditionis Costodes, there was an incident at my FSSP church where there were groups of people waiting for churchgoers to arrive. One was an Eastern Orthodox priest and the other was a group from the SSPX. They were trying to take advantage of the potential alienation of traditional Catholics in light of the recent revisions to Church law. Here are my thoughts on what that suggests.
