Stats NZ have purpossely hidden for years where and how much coal NZ buys fron overseas. RNZ had to seek information from outside NZ in their research that was related to this when they found the information they were looking for through UN documentation.

Stats NZ of course is a government dept . Stats used to make government policies and regulations. The government that rewards itself out of self interests.
