Why Thai Mobs are (really) Protesting about Myanmar

US-backed anti-government protests in Thailand have taken to the streets again. This time they are complaining about the military taking power in neighboring Myanmar.

I explain why principles like “freedom,” “democracy,” and “human rights” the protesters claim they are fighting for “everywhere” is simply rhetoric they are hiding behind and what the real common denominator is between the opposition in Thailand and the ousted government of Aung San Suu Kyi in Myanmar.
