• Neither PCR, RT-PCR, nor RT-qPCR is technically able to decide if a positive sample is indicative of an infectious or contagious person. REASON is the technique of preparation of the sample needs to destroy all biological structures in order to separate the nucleic acid (here is RNA from SARS-CoV-2) to make it accessible for the enzymes who perform the amplifications
• PCR should NOT be used as a "gold standard" and basis for the non-medical actions actions intended to stop the spread of the virus (even if performed under perfect conditions).
• PCR is NOT a very useful technique for identifying “super spreaders” or contagiousness of a person.
• PCR’s considered reliable cycle threshold is around 26 and below BUT the suggested CT to the government is at 40 above. Note: 40CT has more than 16,000X more replicated material than 26CT.
