REVOLUTIONARY AND GENIUS ALTERNATIVES TO #epiweb which turned out to be a game changer for how I want to grow my orchids mounted. If authenticity and aesthetics are how you prefer to see your mounted orchid, then maybe these alternatives to #bark and #sphagnummoss may not be appealing at first glance. Fully understood and it took me a while to get used to the visual, after I had removed the one natural looking aspect of the mounts... the sphagnum moss. Now, I love them! The potential for growing my mounted orchids, inorganically, has so many opportunities to tweak and 'personalize' the set up according to the orchid's needs. The flexibility of adding to the mounts as the orchids grow, and the control in watering this material gives me during the winter... I am fully invested in continuing along these lines and look forward to seeing how the #orchids will develop in the growing season of '21.
