Universities across the United States and the world have seen a critical shift in their pedagogy. Many universities are changing their curriculums to fit an increasingly prevalent social justice paradigm. Some universities are completely purging figures essential to the formation of the modern English language, such as Chaucer, from their curriculum. Others have made moves to limit certain figures in favor of including “black, white, lgbtq,” and other “marginalized” voices in the curriculum. A movement of sorts is happening on Mr. Watson’s campus, and in this video he provides the philosophical case against such advances on the western canon.
