Joh 18:3-6 Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, comes thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.
Joh 18:4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? 5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. 6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

Their was most likely between 80 to 100 men in this mob, Jesus and the disciples probably numbered from 12 to perhaps 20. The palace guard would have wanted at least a 4 to 1 advantage?

When the Band of men hit the ground they realized Jesus was in full control and I'm sure all they wanted from that point on was to grab Jesus and get out of there?

Joh 18:8-9 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: 9 That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gave me have I lost none.

Peter on the other hand figured while their on the ground lets kill them all?

Joh 18:10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

Notice that none of the guard drew a sword to defend themselves?

Here the crowd was completely unable to throw Him off the cliff? Their was something like a force field all around Him.

Jesus possesses all Power, that same power is available to you as well, Give it to God and let Him have it, don't take it back, leave with the one with all the power.
