Trying out Stinger on Project Nested w/ SNES9X

Stinger is listed as working on the compatibility list. I played it the whole way through, there is actually a crash on the ending cutscene, awkwardly.

The Japanese version, "Moero TwinBee: Cinnamon-hakase o Sukue!" crashes on a stage load. I wonder what's so different in the code between these two versions for such a dramatic compatibility difference?
