Easy way to remove a leech from a rescue horse. At the end week 1 review of horse's condition.

Our horse was lifting his front leg. We wondered if he had something caught in his hoof. Turned out it was a leech on his knee. I pulled the leech off using my fingers, I needed two hands to dislodge the sucker from his leg while pulling the tail (if leeches have a tail?). I tossed the leech on the ground and it moved around looking for another meal. There was no blood or obvious wound on the horse's leg, so we let him be.
We have a lot of leeches around here and this is how I remove them from our horses, dogs and humans.
Watch to the end to see a comparison of Arthur after week 1.
