Tucker the Chihuahua and his reverse cough

This video shows a troubling situation that we’ve got with our Chihuahua, Tucker, that seems to be getting worse. The veterinarian indicated that it was a ‘reverse cough’ that is common with Chihuahuas. I think, if you look at this video, it appears to be more than just a common ‘reverse cough’. In fact, sometimes he seems to struggle to swallow or like he’s trying to cough up something.
