I BROKE THE WOOD-MIZER IN 10 MINUTES!

Sharon here and today I'm taking you along as I start work on the reclaimed hand hewn log headboard for our new VRBO cabin. I'm so excited to get started! I pick the perfect solid white oak beams from the pile, trim the ends and pull all the nails in prep for making log "skins" (2 inch thick slices) to use as the headboard. I load them up and take them to our neighbor with a Wood-Mizer sawmill who slices through the logs like butter. A broken blade didn't stop us from completing the task! A little pressure washing and the logs are as beautiful as they were carved by farmers over 100 years ago.
