Sivan is a month of holiness and wholeness. Those two relate, divinely connected! Psalm 41 is the Psalm of the month emphasizing the Name of God meaning”the Lord Who Heals the wounded heart”. Wounds can come in to our souls through the sin of others against us and our own weaknesses in responding or even wrong thinking and sins against ourselves. Psalm 41:4. I said, “Lord, be merciful to me;
Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.” The Lord loves to heal us! To restore us, to make us whole! Look at these blooming lilies! The poor plant was accidentally sprayed with poison to kill the poison oak nearby. But yet it is blooming today!! That gives me hope!! God is able to bloom through us such beauty in spite of the poison of sin. Lord, heal us today. Make us whole and empower us Holy Spirit to walk in Your holy ways. Lead us by Your gracious good Spirit. Amen.
