How do you stop comparing yourself to other dancers?

It’s all about mindset. It sounds like it bums you out because you can’t do those things. Try to see as inspiration to learn. Support dancers both above and below you, accept the same, and look for inspiration and motivation everywhere. Good luck out there.

Try to pinpoint exactly what it is that you admire about the dancers who you admire and use this as motivation to grow. jot it down on a list of goals for yourself. thank this person for giving you something to aspire to on your own journey, rather than discrediting your journey because someone is better. perfectionism is tough to beat i get it!

when I feel bad about my dancing, I think of times where I got positive feedback from peers and coaches. Reminding myself of “evidence” that I am talented and other people think so. you can even list out these moments in a journal or note on your phone and refer back to them when you feel less than great about your talent!

When it comes to skill level, you can only try to become better by comparing yourself to yourself. :)
Reflect on where you started and where you are today !! You have improved !!!!!
