Joe Biden Means It

Today we talk about Joe Biden. He recently compared some republican senators to Joseph Goebbels (Nazi propaganda minister). Some people are saying this was just to stir people up, I believe otherwise.

So often politicians say things they don't mean, but in this case he likely does. I am sure he views Goebbels in a negative light, and also considers most republican senators the same. He probably believes all politicians are like him (and he may be correct) and so these two getting up talking don't mean anything they say, and its just a propaganda game. Joe Biden thinks Ted Cruz is like Goebbels because Joe Biden is like Goebbels in the same way. You say what you need to in order to win the public. Every word is chosen carefully to shape public opinion (I know he is terrible at it).

I really don't like Joe Biden. He is the epitome of the slimy politician. He is crooked, corrupt, and senile. Most of that is not unique to Joe Biden, its just the nature of the political class. The thought of politics makes my stomach turn. If offered a choice between work as a fry cook and a career as a politician I would probably choose to be a fry cook.

In that way I find that I share some opinions with some pretty awful people in history (fortunately not all of their opinions).

Somehow we find ourselves on the topic of the cultural revolution and China. The Chinese learn that it was bad in school. Mao himself is spared, most of the blame for all the bad that happened falls on his wife, madam Mao.
