Gun Control: Who Do You Fear Most?

Everyone is talking about gun violence (understandably so).

But here's something to think about.

Under which situation would you feel safer:

1. A situation where both you and your neighbor owned weapons that contain lead
or

2. A situation where only the government was allowed to carry weapons that contain lead?
Here's a bonus question:

If you choose option 2, do you trust your government enough not to abuse its power and take advantage of citizens that can't defend themselves?
