THE WEARING OF THE MASKS and more

The wearing of the masks has become a double edged sword these days. There are the ones we have been mandated to put on in public to promote fear through a false sense of security by our governments, and then we have the ones that we have fashioned for ourselves to wear to portray the face we would rather others believe we are. The ones we fashion for ourselves are also created out of fear and to promote a false sense of security, but this time within ourselves, for ourselves.

Authenticity is not an aspect that is clearly supported, nor encouraged in western societies especially. I am declaring that is a bunch of hooey! We have, through our passive complicity, created an illusion of reality that not many Souls can, nor desire, to thrive within. Between the shAme gAme and judgment by achievement, or lack thereof, or the suppression of free thought, whether by a government, or familial hierarchy, or the loudest yelling marginalized sector of a society, we humans have become very pliant to reshaping our core Selves into the masks we see today.

I find it very counterintuitive. I find it very disconcerting. I find it uncomfortable to behold and dismay has been my baseline for quite awhile now. How about you? This is a quick video I made on the fly last year. I hope you enjoy it and get something out of it!
