Tyrannical School Security

Calls for increasing security at schools is ramping up since the latest mass shootings. The ideas that have been put forth to rebuild the schools are similar to a fortress, better yet a prison. For instance, schools would have the protection of on-sight guards, impenetrable fences around the school grounds, one entrance in and out of the building, etc. Of course, student safety should be a top priority. But have you thought of the repercussions of the school security they are requesting?
