Japan does not carea about console gaming because it is a hand held gaming country. When I was in japan I saw people playing game on their phones all the time. They rather play mobile games than console games. I guess its part of their culture and since there are so many single people in Japan it makes sense. Sony's sales of the PS4 were over 113 million units and Japan counted for only 7% of the sales. That is 7.8 million units. That is small for a country of 120 million people.
