McConnell explains why he won't vote on House-bill for $2,000 stimulus checks

On December 30, 2020, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell explains on the Senate floor why he is not allowing a straight up-or-down vote on the House-passed bill to increase COVID-19 stimulus checks from $600 to $2,000. He explains that President Trump requested that three matters be addressed (1) raising the stimulus amount, (2) removing or reforming Section 230 that protects social media companies from liability, and (3) investigating fraud in the 2020 election. McConnell has proposed legislation that will address all three matters.
