This is one of the Best Songs ever recorded, IMO, as Bachman's Jazzy Guitar licks, set against a standard Blues beat, creates a FEELING of HOPE and CONNECTION within this song...and this connection ties us profoundly to the song's lyrics, which are Brilliant...

Looking Out means that we are Looking from WITHIN, for #1, which means God, and learning to put God First in our broken and meaningless Lives, actually means that we are learning to put Ourselves First, and thus, all those around us...in fact, the most SELFLESS Act that one can take in one's own Life IS to truly take care of one's own Needs, as this by definition, leads us in Alignment to God, because what all of us Need is GOD...

Thus, in the Song, Randy Bachman is actually referring to the Path that is Strait and Narrow, and that THIS WAY is the Only Way in which we can get to the Top...because it takes Work, Commitment and Effort; there is no room for Short Cuts or Cheats, just Good, Old Fashioned Hard Work to help yourself GET what it is you truly Need...

No more Tricks in our Lives, just Treats, because Tricking is SINNING and Treats are VIRTUE...and until we Learn this Deeply Profound lesson, then we will continue to Ride that Train, Endlessly, around and around and around the Wheel...rather than getting to the END OF THE LINE, no matter how long it takes, we Must get there, in the End, to create the Resurrection of the Spirit Within Us, which is God Consciousness...and it is Only thru this Path of Christ Consciousness that we come to KNOW God at His Mighty Right Hand...

So let go of all of your False Worshipping, which are your Beliefs, and simply cling to ONE THING, and that is, Trusting in God, alone, which is Heaven Upon Earth...Jesus Christ Shows us the Way, and then God Receives us HOME, upon the Hearth in Heaven, and this Truly is The Way...
