Between Matthew 24-25, Jesus teaches three parables to help us get READY for His Second Coming. In today’s study of The Parable of the 10 Virgins, Jesus warns us that some will be ready and some will not. The ones who will not be ready are not even really Believers. They go to church, sing the songs, give their money, volunteer their time, but they don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus. One of the saddest things in any church is a Nonbeliever who thinks that he or she is a Believer… who “plays the part but lacks the heart.” In today’s study, Pastor Gary encourages us to be certain of our salvation so that we can be ready whenever we die or Christ returns, whichever happens first.
