Don’t call it “martial arts.”

Mars was and is a demon of violence and death. Calling yourself a martial artist means that you call yourself one who does the arts of Mars. Most people don’t want to do that. That name seems to influence what you get. There are many better names to call it. People who call survival something more normal and “unattached” tend to get better results. You can call it something that honors God instead of a demon, and get perhaps His blessing.
