21 Days of Bitcoin - Day #16: HashrateIndex

For the twenty-one days leading up to the 12th anniversary of the mining of the first Bitcoin block, Bitcoin Magazine will be highlighting data-related projects built by the community.

HashrateIndex is a project from Luxor Mining that is meant to give light to all of the data in the Bitcoin mining industry. Miners are well-known for keeping their cards close to their chest when it comes to their operations, equipment, and energy costs. However, with HashrateIndex, you can dig into comprehensive indexes of mining output, compare colocation facilities in North America, and keep up with public companies with mining operations.
Flip sat down with Ethan Vera, one of the cofounders of Luxor Mining, to explore the hard-to-find data about bitcoin mining.
