The Plane Crash Effect

I decided to continue in my series on philosophical concepts with a few that I've come up with, starting with the Plane Crash Effect. I'm doing this miniseries, in part, as a way of archiving these concepts, which I originally recorded in a Facebook Note, with the Notes feature being recently all-but-phased completely out.

I can't believe I'm the one coining these concepts, so let me know in the comments section if someone's already come up with a name for these concepts.
