African Green Monkey Simian Cytomegalovirus Origin of Stealth Adapted Virus Infecting a CFS Patient

This video describes the initial DNA sequencing data, which unequivocally determined that the stealth adapted virus cultured from a patient with the chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) had originated from an African green monkey simian cytomegalovirus (SCMV). Portions of the virus genome were amplified using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). They were used as molecular probes and were also cloned into plasmids. The cloned DNA was genetically sequenced. Comparison of the sequence data with the publicly available DNA sequence data on GenBank showed that one of the amplified PCR products was related to a sequence in human cytomegalovirus (HCMV). Further sequencing of cloned sections of the stealth adapted virus showed far better matching with SCMV that HCMV. The data were published in the "American Journal of Pathology" 145: 440-451, 1994 and in "Clinical and Diagnostic Virology" 4: 93-103, 1995, respectively. Cultured kidney cells from cytomegalovirus-infected African green monkeys are widely used to produce polio virus vaccines. The unwillingness of Public Health officials and vaccine manufacturers to acknowledge the likelihood of widespread infection of humans with vaccine contaminating viruses has been a disservice to humanity. This video is a continuation of an earlier video entitled "Renegade Sequences in Stealth Adapted Viruses Introduction to the Research Program" The earlier video provides a foundation to many of the molecular techniques described in the current video. Future videos will provide further insight into the stealth adaptation process, especially with regards to these viruses transmitting cell-derived and bacteria-derived "renegade" genetic sequences between humans and from animals to humans.
