Google “accepts resignation” of Timnit Gebru, AI Ethics leader!

Some big data science news this week, especially for Algorithm Fairness, as Google jumped on an opportunity to let loose one of the field's top AI Ethics researchers. There is a lot of controversy with accusations coming primarily at Google, but also Timnit, as people rule on the split second trial in their own minds.

In this quick data science news episode, I hope to bring a more balanced consideration for what is happening and what we can learn from it without resorting to targeting any person or group with the religious zeal that is so popular today.
