I've Been Burglarized

Today I am in Texas dealing with the aftermath of a robbery at my old storage unit. Its a long story believe it or not. About a year ago I was contacted by the storage company to tell me that a month before the call my unit had been broken into. They were unconcerned about the fact I had been robbed, and just wanted to know when I was going to come back to put a new lock on the unit.

After working it out with them, they agreed to put a lock on the unit, and I put it out of my mind since I was living in China. About a month after that I was contacted again, and asked when I would be coming back to put my new lock on. I was speechless of course, but finally worked it out with them to put the new lock on (something I thought had been done).

Now Im back, and finding what they told me to be incorrect. They said the person was only in the unit for a few minutes. From what I can see, the person in question cut the lock off with a grinder, and spent enough time to go through every little thing looking for valuables. Everything they deemed unworthy was simply thrown around the unit and smashed up.

Im taking what I can find, and the rest can simply stay behind with the people who didnt care enough about my business to let me know I had been robbed.
