How to Cook a Giant Clam

The process is pretty simple. Bring a half a cup of water, half a tablespoon to 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and pinch of garlic to a boil. Make sure that you cover the pan while it is cooking. As soon as the clam shell opens completely, it is finished and ready to eat. I highly recommend adding butter a pinch of sea salt and a pinch of black pepper for taste. Enjoy! A sidenote: I looked online and after you pull the giant clam shell out of the water, I read that you have up to three days to cook it. I forgot the clam was in my backpack and I waited one whole day without refrigerating the clam and it still tasted amazing. I also read, and it’s worth a Google, that upon taking out the clam from the shell, you have 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator time until you need to cook it. Then my two cents.
