The apostle Paul did not know what was happening to the church in Thessalonica (modern day Greece). Much suffering and persecution was going on, which caused the church to grow. To encourage the believers Paul explains the second coming and the glory we will receive when Jesus returns. Hold fast to you faith, Jesus will return soon.
