Today we will learn about Reading Comprehension and use my book called Awesome Reading Comprehension Level 1. I will show you how to answer reading comprehension questions the easy way. First, we will take a look at the questions for the story. When you answer reading comprehension questions, the best thing to do first is to read the questions. Reading the questions helps you know what to look for in the story. After we have looked at the questions, we can read the story once to try and get an understanding of what the story is about. Now, we will look back at the questions and try to find exactly what they need us to look for in the story.
I will teach you a trick on how to read a question see which part you need to find in the story. Hint: The verb/action is what is most important and the biggest key word on where the answer will be in the story.

Andy went to visit his twin brother, Darren. The two of them were very close when they were teenagers. They liked to go to parties and study together. When Darren got married, they stopped seeing each other so much. Andy still enjoyed going to parties. Darren liked staying home and watching television with his wife. One month ago, Darren’s wife had a baby boy. Andy was going to meet the baby for the first time.
Andy did not want to see Darren’s son because he did not like children. Andy had never held a baby before. Andy was even a little scared of the baby. What if he dropped the baby? When Andy arrived and saw Darren, he was so happy. Darren was carrying his son. When Andy looked at his nephew, he loved him so much. Darren showed Andy how to hold the baby. After that, Andy never put the baby down. Andy even stayed the night, and cuddled with his nephew. He decided he liked kids now.
