Myself, I present to you
As one sent to you
Mocked and rent for you
Blood spent for you
Death sentenced to cross, shame and grave
Let me save you again
Only I can mend
Through the spirit I send
So come to me
Be one with me
Unto me
Live and give your soul
You’ll be whole
And you’ll know my Father
Are there any others
With affection greater than mothers
Deeper than lovers
I’ll smother your sins away
Cover you with pinions and lay
You on my chest
Quieted rest
Ended quests
Stilled, caressed
Oh I am the best for you
Victory through
Making you knew
By a love you’ve never known
With substance I alone am
For I am the son of man
