Massoud was the Commander of the Northern Alliance of Afghanistan.
He was known as the "Lion of Panjshir" and the "Afghan Napoleon". Ahmad Shah Massoud is credited as one of the best guerilla leaders of the 20th century. He successfully defended his home, the Panjshir Valley from the Russians and multipule times from Taliban. The Inspiring story of Ahmad Shah Massoud end abruptly when he was killed 2 days before the Sept 11th attacks and would've made a great leader of Afghanistan. Ahmad Shah Massoud was a good man, and established democratic region in the country where women had rights and people lived in relative peace.
