The Vatican is the first beast or kingdom in Revelation 13 or the beast that rises out of the sea. This is one of two beasts which will rise and gain prominence in the world just prior to the glorious return of Jesus Christ.

The Vatican has gained prominence once again and will gain greater power from the dragon or satan when it will enforce its mark – Sunday observance – across the world with the help of the United States, the second beast of Revelation 13 or the beast that comes out of the earth.

The Vatican has a number, 666, which points to the twelve different titles of the Vatican papacy, which is antichrist, including Vicarius Filii Dei: http://www.aloha.net/~mikesch/666.htm.
