Before the age of Kings in Israel was the time of the Judges. Shamgar is a forgotten hero who defeated 600 Philistines and saved Israel according to the book of Judges. Most would expect Israel’s Judges to be Hebrews but Shamgar’s background is quite unusual. This lesson is from our series Keep the Fires Burning.
