Can we judge a man who was born and raised in completely different times by today's standards?
Is the National Trust turning into a "woke" organisation after vocal support for Black Lives Matter / BLM and linking Colonialism with the Slave trade and all but branding Winston Churchill a racist.

The National Trust is currently facing some backlash from it's members and questions are being asked.

A statue of Winston Churchill was sprayed with graffiti during recent protests in London, with claims that the former prime minister was racist.

Government ministers condemned the "vandalism and desecration" of the statue.

But Britain’s wartime leader split opinion in his own lifetime, and remains a divisive figure today.

To many he will always be known as the man who helped inspire the allies to victory in WW2, but some question other parts of his legacy.

The former Prime Minister has faced a renewed controversy as people are calling for his statues to be removed due to his racist views
