U.S. Army Conducts Live-Fire Training with Bundeswehr in Oberlausitz Training Are, Germany

May 24, 2022 - The 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division conducts a joint live-fire exercise alongside their counterparts with the Bundeswehr (German Army) in Oberlausitz Training Area, Germany, as part of DEFENDER-Europe 22. DEFENDER-Europe 22 is a series of U.S. Army Europe and Africa multinational training exercises within U.S. European Command’s Large Global Scale Exercise construct taking place in Eastern Europe. DEFENDER-Europe 22 demonstrates U.S. Army Europe and Africa’s ability to conduct large scale ground combat operations across multiple theaters in support of NATO and the National Defense Strategy.
