Dr Ken Thorp graduated from medical school in 1978 then went on to complete his Radiology residency in 1982, followed by a fellowship in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology in 1983. Since then he has been In clinical practice at a large health care system in Michigan.

In the early 1990s he became interested in medical research and paradigmatic studies, with his research primarily focused around the energy dynamics of the human body.
