Biblical Roles for Marriage

Not many of us would ever take a job without a thorough job description and an understanding of the chart of accountability. And yet, everyday people are going into marriage, the highest of all human relationships, without a very clear understanding of what the role is supposed to be. The model for Biblical marriage roles is compared to Christ Himself.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
